For the Tree Huggers

When it comes to using different materials for our artworks we are most fascinated by the juxtaposition of fabrics, textures and colours. We like our work to stand out, make people look twice and to smile. That’s why we decided to give some of the trees jumpers! The bright colours and the soft textures bring a child like quality and we hope playfulness to the imagination.

Throughout the summer we have been teaching the Green and Away volunteers to knit and they love it! It’s been knitting crazy and most people here have knitted at least one square that’s been used to cover the trees.

This has been a truly collaborative artwork and the Artists would like to thank everyone for their time and effort they have dedicated to it.
